Reverse Healthcare Supply Chains for Circular Economy

REHEAL is a four-year Horizon Europe innovation project aimed at transforming healthcare supply chains across Europe from linear to circular, bringing buyers together with a wider community of interest to build a scalable model for circular healthcare across Europe.

Through collaboration between leading health systems in Denmark, Greece, Spain and Scotland, universities, and innovation partners, REHEAL is pioneering circular, sustainable solutions that extend the life of medical products, reduce waste, and fortify resilience. Using a Pre-Commercial Procurement approach underpinned by CivTech innovation methodologies, the project will co-design, prototype, and test new digital and operational tools that enable reverse supply chains, drive resource efficiency and support Europe’s transition to a more climate-friendly healthcare sector.
